To provide service and guidance on EHS matters that support the department objectives, and overall Millennium business objectives
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintains regulatory compliance with governmental regulations related to the environment, health and safety.
- Conforms to the standards set by applicable regulations.
- Conforms to Millennium standards and policy.
- Conducts routine electrical or technical inspections of facilities for compliance with company and government regulations.
- Prepares reports for submission to EHS Director or any other related stakeholder, which identify the potential hazard(s) and/ or department discrepancies found, and provides recommendations for control and compliance.
- Advises employees and management on safe work practices and potential hazards.
- Leads and assists plant personnel with environment, health and safety issues.
- Investigates and resolves environment/ health/ safety, and technical issues.
- Implements effective training to assist Maintenance and Facilities staff in understanding technical regulations and procedures.
- Ensures proper inspection and maintenance of fire protection equipment and emergency response activities.
- Conduct accident investigations caused by machines or equipment.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences to keep abreast of emerging environmental, health and safety, and technical matters.
- Able to work with different functions within the company to ensure that EHS and technical concerns are addressed adequately, within an acceptable time-frame.
- Manage expectations of the EHS Director in a structured and organized manner.
- Work on shift (day or night), if required.
- Education
- Required
- Four Year Degree in Engineering with major: Electrical/Electronic Technology
- Preferred
- NEBOSH Certificate holder
2. Experience
- In Health and Safety / Environment, technical, or related field
3. Knowledge of:
- Vietnamese governmental regulations on the environment, health and work safety
- Windows-based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)
4. Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate English skill
- Technically sound
- Able to prioritize work
- Sense of urgency
- Good reporting skills
- Good presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of the furniture industry is desired

- Standing and walking frequently to different locations throughout the facilities

- Constant interaction with employees, supervisors, and management, both within and outside of the EHS Department
