To ensure purchasing effectiveness in term of quality, quantity and cost for the assigned commodities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Closely work with MRO planner and MRO purchasing supervisor and related departments to ensure JIT of MRO purchased items
2. To develop new vendors to reduce MRO purchasing cost
3. Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance
4. Monitoring delivery times to ensure they are on time.
5. Responsible for Order Placement Timing, Supply / Demand Alignment, Material Replenishment.
6. Coordinate with MRO planner to build an appropriate inventory levels for certain MRO stock room.
7. Involved in writing up purchasing contracts
8. Works on various projects and teams to improve quality, productivity, cost, and safety.
9. Performs other related jobs as assigned by the department Head / Manager
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
▪ Thorough understand of purchasing, planning, scheduling, inventory management
▪ Understanding of capacity and bottlenecks in the production environment
▪ Strong analytical skills, cost analysis Skill
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education
▪ Required
- Four-year university degree or similar level of knowledge and experience
- Good English skill both speaking and writing
- Qualified in purchasing course is an advantage
2. Experience
- 3-year experience in buyer position for international companies
3. Knowledge of:
▪ Technical and equipment purchase.
▪ Product and process knowledge
▪ Understanding of production equipment and spare parts is advantages.
▪ Able to handle international purchasing
4. Skills and Abilities
▪ Planning: an ability to think ahead and prepare action plan to achieve results
▪ Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
▪ Strong sourcing skill
