- JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing from Bedding product development process to production; make sure all new product information to be filed and updated; provide spreadsheet for BOM; coordinate prompt delivery of template to production; chair introduction briefing for all new products;
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive new product introduction from initial GO through cover fit approval, to introduction into production.
- Liaise with P&IC to ensure new product introductions are introduced in a very timely manner and that all delays are handled properly and communicated to all parties involved.
- Prepare and organize New Program Progress Report.
Prepare and update spreadsheets and provide to Product Engineer for timely update of BOM
Liaise with purchasing dept. on material availability
- Issue product specifications to match product construction or in support of other departments
- Ensure all sew drawings are detailed and accurate showing all necessary information required by production and quality personnel in both English and Vietnamese.
- Periodically audit inline and new products as they are being produced in production to identify and correct problems.
- Other tasks as assigned by Department Head.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
BA/BS in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field,
- Experience
- 2 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment- Bedding or furniture more prefer
- Technical supervision experience.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience working with Lectra or equivalent pattern laying equipment hardware and software.
- Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of Lectra hardware and software to be used in laying patterns for cut and sew operation with the intent to maximize material utilization.
- Knowledge and ability to create detailed sew drawings.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision patterns, sew drawings, and samples.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production
