Ensure all kinds of incoming raw materials and outsourced components meet quality standards and packing specification according to production schedule. Continuously work to improve the quality control process and inspection skills for raw material and outsourced components. To develop and implement quality control programs to achieve the quality goal. Manage all raw material and outsourced components QC inspectors as well as lab room staffs within an assigned facility in such a manner that fosters teamwork while increasing productivity and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage, train and develop the skills/knowledge of the following Millennium Teams:
Fabric, Leather, Component, UPH RM and Casegood RM Internal QC Team
Millennium Lab Room Team
- Create and implement quality standards agreed by relative departments;
- Create and implement systems and standard operating procedures for following Millennium teams:
Fabric, Leather, Component, UPH RM and Casegood RM Internal QC Team
Millennium Lab Room Team
- Work closely with relative teams to ensure that the incoming raw material and outsourced components meet the expectations of Ashley’s customers;
- Work closely with the Development and Purchasing to manage and expand raw material capacity with existing and potential new material supplier in Asia;
- Manage the lab room on daily basis;
- Successfully complete all projects assigned within the timeframes specified, lead cross functional teams in solving quality and other operational issues, recommend improvements in qulaity control audit methods, equipment, people, and working conditions to meet business goals;
- Develop the quality control program by following the quality issues alerted by customers;
- Reply the customer alert, set up and implement improvement countermeasures to ensure customer’s satisfaction;
- Manage labor, attendance time, work discipline of above mentioned teams;
- Improve the performance of all above mentioned teams;
- Quality statistics analysis, quality measurements analysis, implement action plans to improve quality;
- Provide training to Quality departments to improve quality performance;
- Inspect and propagandize the company policy, culture and supervise employee discipline;
- Participating in constructing and optimizing organization of the raw material QC teams;
- Encourage employees toward IDEA contributions
- Protect assets and loss prevention
- Ensure machine and services are produced efficiently and on time.
- Inspect and manage 6S and 8 Wastes
- Lead the important customer visits and professional presentation
- Work proactively with CQI on lead projects and kaizen projects
- Perform regular and periodic employee meetings to communicate company culture, build employee commitment and loyalty
- Build workforce focused on lean manufacturing, continuous improvement on productivity, thru-put and cost reduction
- Take ownership of workers’ concerns and lead the resolution of workers dissatisfaction and any work stoppages
Manage the activities of all Raw Material QC team and outsourced components QC team including quality lab in Millennium, and fully utilize the support of all departments to meet QC department objectives. Responsible for manufacturing high quality raw material and products on time.
- Education
Bachelor degree or above, must have experience in at least one of below industries: textiles, cut&sew manufacturing, case good Quality, Bedding, Pu components
- Experience
- Over 10 years experience in managing a manufacturing or QC department in sizable cut & Sew, upholstery or casegood factory
- Familiar with all UPH or casegood related RM knowledge
- At Least 3 year experience on managerial position
- Knowledge of:
- Quality tools
- ISO system
- Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Statistical process control
- 6 Sigma concept
- Theory of organization behavior
