This position will support Casegoods Product Engineering.
Responsible for developing new end items by creating 3D models and drawing while complying with inline design and drawing standards as defined by the department. The product engineer will be responsible for the design accuracy and manufacturability of all parts related to each end item. He or she must support other departments such as production, quality, sourcing, purchasing, and other relevant departs with any information needed about new end items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

I. NEW END ITEM DEVELOPMENT
- Create new end item 3D models and all required new parts following direction from department leaders
- Design & standardize all 2D drawings related to new end item designs following engineering best practices, while managing the data on the PDM system
- Work with stakeholders (PROD, SC, PUR, MRO, QC, …) to develop samples of all new end items, and specifically support production/quality with new item introductions while providing all relevant documentation, (drawings, BOM, SOP, etc).
II. SAMPLES PROCESS
- Responsible for preparing, cooperating with related Department to facilitate and make samples when have requirement from superior.
- Responsible for material testing, follow up to get good result on time in full.
- Collect and record all information; Send to BOM team to update final BOM; BOM change request.
- Develops documentation related to process improvements including standardized work, SOP.
- Conducts audits and follow-ups on small projects in production and areas that have new changes to provide feedback and help sustain improvements.
- Perform other tasks may be assigned by Department Head.
In charge of Product Engineering for Casegoods Production.
• Work with Engineering R&D department on new style development.
• Assist in cost reduction project.
- Education
Intermediate in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field or higher.
- Experience
- 1 - 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
- Development samples/ Pattern process experience.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience working with equipment hardware and CAD; CAM softwares.
- Packaging experiences are advantage.
- Knowledge of:
- Knowledge and ability to create detailed technical drawings by softwares.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principle involved in production of precision patterns, drawings, and samples.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various Casegoods and Casegoods related products.
