Support Casegoods Design and Merchandising.
Responsible for creating new design concepts for the CG division; develop seasonal collections and product lines; assist in trend analysis and market research; collaborate with R&D team to ensure designs meet manufacturing capabilities and cost targets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Work on Product Design and Merchandising
- Create design presentations and mood boards.
- Research current market trends and consumer preferences
- Assist in product line development and merchandising strategies.
- Support development of product specifications
Work with Cross-functional Teams
- Collaborate with R&D Engineering for design feasibility.
- Coordinate with Merchandising team on product placement and pricing
- Assist Sourcing team with material selection and finishing options.
- Support Sample Development team during prototype creation
Participate in product development meetings and provide design input for continuous improvement.
- Maintain design documentation and archives.
- Assist in preparation of seasonal collection presentations.
- Support photography and catalog development
Process Casegoods projects per Supervisor assignment
Perform other tasks as assigned by Department Head
Education
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field
Merchandising coursework or certification preferred
Experience
0-2 years of experience in furniture design or merchandising
Internship or course projects in furniture design preferred
Basic understanding of furniture manufacturing processes
Retail or merchandising experience is an advantage.
Knowledge of:
- Furniture design principles and trends
- Basic manufacturing processes and materials
- Color theory and finish applications
- Merchandising and retail concepts
- Basic cost analysis and pricing strategies
